The Postgraduate Department of Psychology, KR’s Sree Narayana College, Valanchery, organized a Counselling Psychology Workshop to enrich the academic and professional exposure of postgraduate students.
The session was handled by Mr. Syal Sundar, Assistant Professor, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, who shared valuable insights into counselling techniques, professional ethics, and the evolving role of psychologists in mental health care.
The workshop focused on practical aspects of counselling, including active listening, empathy, and therapeutic communication. Students actively participated in interactive discussions, case illustrations, and skill-oriented activities that helped connect theoretical learning with real-world applications.
Through this initiative, the department reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality training and fostering the development of competent mental health professionals.
