PTA Constitution

Objective

The primary objective of the PTA is to foster cooperation between parents and teachers for the overall development of students and to enhance the quality of education.

Membership

  • All parents or guardians of students enrolled in the college shall be members of the PTA.
  • All faculty members of the college shall be honorary members.

Responsibilities

  • To promote academic excellence and discipline among students.
  • To assist in the improvement of facilities for the welfare of students.
  • To encourage and support co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • To facilitate better communication between parents and the institution.

Meetings and Decision-Making

  • The PTA shall hold at least one general body meeting annually.
  • Executive Committee meetings shall be held periodically as required.
  • Decisions shall be made by majority vote, with the President having the final say in case of a tie.

Finances

  • The association may collect voluntary contributions from members for developmental activities.
  • The funds shall be audited annually and utilized for student welfare programs with proper transparency.

Amendments

Any modifications to this constitution shall be proposed and approved during the general body meeting with the consent of a majority of members present.

This constitution ensures the effective functioning of the PTA and strengthens the partnership between parents and teachers to create a better learning environment at KR’s Sree Narayana College.
