1. Membership
All past students of the college are eligible to become members of the Alumni Association. Membership is categorized as:
- Patrons – Key figures from the management and distinguished invitees.
- Life Members – All former students of the college.
- Honorary Members – Current teaching staff of the college.
- Associate Members – Former teaching staff who opt for membership by paying the prescribed fee.
Patrons, Honorary Members, and Associate Members enjoy all association privileges except voting rights in the Annual General Body Meeting.
2. Governance & Executive Committee
The association is managed by an Executive Committee, comprising:
- President – The Principal (Ex-Officio).
- Chairman – Elected from former students.
- Vice Chairmen (2) – One from alumni and one from teaching staff.
- General Secretaries (2) – One from alumni and one from teaching staff.
- Joint Secretary – Elected from the Alumni Teaching Staff.
- Treasurer – Elected from Alumni Teaching Staff.
- 16 Executive Members – Elected representatives.
The committee holds the authority to form subcommittees to further the association’s initiatives.
3. Elections & Meetings
- Office bearers are elected annually at the Annual General Body Meeting (AGM), usually held on the second Saturday of August.
- Final-year students can participate, vote, and stand for election if they enroll at least one week before the AGM.
- Quorum:
- 25 members for General Body Meetings.
- 8 members for Executive Committee Meetings.
- Interim vacancies in the Executive Committee may be filled as needed.
4. Financial Management & Audit
- The association’s accounts undergo an Annual Audit by an External Chartered Accountant, appointed by the Executive Committee.
- No member of the Executive Committee shall serve as an Auditor.
- The Treasurer presents the financial and audited reports at the Annual General Body Meeting.
- The Secretary submits an annual report on the association’s activities.
